Designing the future - calling innovators, creators, designers and start-up founders! Webinar featuring leading legal IP experts on World Intellectual Property Day.

Young people in the Asia Pacific number approximately 718 million aged 15-24 years. As future innovators and entrepreneurs finding creative solutions to the world’s problems, they would do well to arm themselves with knowledge and skills regarding the intellectual property (IP) they are creating.

World Intellectual Property Day is an annual event that is celebrated on April 26. The theme of this year’s event is “IP and Youth: Innovating for a Better Future” with the goal of raising IP awareness among the younger generation. It is an opportunity to learn about the role that IP rights play in encouraging innovation and creativity.

To raise awareness about IP issues and to celebrate #WorldIPDay, PitchMark has organized a free webinar hosted by founder and managing partner Mark Laudi as well as legal advisor Frank Rittman together with two IP lawyers with decades of IP and copyright experience in the region and beyond between then. Cyril Chua from Robinson Law and Alban Kang from Bird & Bird ATMD in Singapore will provide an overview of IP issues and how they can act as a tool in young innovators’ toolboxes to protect their works.

Says Mark Laudi, Founder and Managing Partner of PitchMark: “We look forward to addressing key myths and misconceptions about IP with a special focus on young innnovators, and where to start when you are thinking about IP for the first time. Our IP experts will be on hand to impart knowledge of their experiences with their clients to the next generation of creatives and entrepreneurs.”
