What is the PitchMark® PitchFeed for?

The public pitch feed, located on the homepage of the PitchMark® website, acts as a public record of pitching activity designed to create transparency and deter idea theft. While it makes the transaction visible to the community, it is structured to protect the actual content of the idea.

The feed shows the following information to other users:

  • The existence of the pitch: It shows that a specific idea has been pitched, without showing the actual idea. It documents that a creative work exists and was sent to a prospect, transforming a private one-to-one exchange into a matter of public record.
  • Participant names: The feed explicitly displays the creator's name and the recipient's name. This alerts the community to exactly who is involved in the transaction.
  • Blockchain evidence: It reflects that the creation and subsequent sale or licensing of the idea is recorded on the blockchain, providing proof of when the work was originated and sent.

Importantly, the feed does not show the actual design, document, or content of the pitch itself. By displaying only the fact that a pitch occurred, the platform creates a watching effect. This environment encourages recipients to act as honest stewards of the Intellectual Property, as they know the transaction is no longer hidden in a private email thread or closed-door business meeting.

Innovators can opt out of showing the pitch on the PitchFeed, although we don’t recommend it.
